Waianapanapa Black Sand Beach, Maui U.S.A



Waianapanapa State Park is an area (0.49 km2) 122-acres in Hana, Maui, Hawaii, at the end of the Hana Highway Waianapanapa Road, 53 km (85 miles) east of Kahului. Park includes a colony of seabirds views, pool anchialine, native hala (Pandanus tectorius) forests, caves, Heiau (religious temples), a natural arch, sea stacks, blowholes and a small black sand beach.

Island of Maui (/ maʊ.i ː /; Hawaii: [mɐuwi]) is the second largest of the Hawaiian Islands at 727.2 square miles (1883.5 km2) and is the 17th largest island in the United States. Maui is part of the state of Hawaii and is the largest of the four islands of Maui County, the larger of Lanai, Kahoolawe, and Molokai. In 2010, Maui had a population of 154,834, the third most populous in the islands of Hawaii, Oahu and Hawaii behind. Kahului is the largest city on the island with a population of 20,146 [4]. Wailuku is the seat of Maui County. Other important cities include Kihei, Lahaina, Makawao, Paia, Kula, haiku, Hana, Kaanapali, Wailea, Makena and Kapalua.
