Tokyo_Station, Japan


Tokyo Station is a railway station located in the Marunouchi office district, Tokyo. Tokyo Station is the starting point and end point for most operating Shinkansen in Japan, and also an important station for many local rail and subway.

Although Tokyo Station is a station that is important for inter-city railway line, but this station is the second largest after Tokyo Shinjuku, and possibly also the number two in Japan. While the busiest train station in Tokyo is Shinjuku and Ikebukuro.

Until now Tokyo Station retains the old-style buildings with typical red brick.
Overall, Tokyo Station has two platforms above ground level, and 2 levels of underground platform. The platform for Shinkansen and local lines mostly located on the ground, while the Keiyo Line to Tokyo Disneyland is located two levels below ground.
