Agents admit that Stekelenburg Want to AS Roma

Netherlands national team goalkeeper, Maarten Stekelenburg is likely to leave Amsterdam. The reason, according to the agent, Stekelenburg want to join the club capital of Italy, Roma.

Roma itself is reportedly eyeing Espanyol goalkeeper Carlos Kameni. However, I Giallorossi failed to reach agreement about the transfer. In fact, now Stekelenburg agent, Rob Jansen said his client wanted to move to Rome.

"Maarten wanted to move to Rome, if not I will not hold talks with the club," said Jansen told Voetbal International.

Even so, the desire of the Ajax goalkeeper to move to Roma has not gone smoothly. According to Jansen the two clubs are still far from agreement.

"The negotiations did not proceed smoothly. Both clubs distance apart, but there will be further talks in Amsterdam today (21 / 7). Ajax has not set time limits," said the agent.
